Our sessions are not just guest lectures. The format of our sessions is carefully designed with specific details in mind that are focused on cognitive wellness. The structure of our program overall, with its continuous course format along with the detailed elements of each individual session, are carefully planned to optimize neural health in ways that one-off lectures or traditional lecture series cannot. 

From the residents’ perspective, they’re experiencing university-level educational classes. From the neuroscience perspective, we know that each of our sessions is designed to minimize cognitive load, increase attentional engagement, enhance memory, and promote executive processing functions. Our pedagogical approach uses a continuous format because it allows us to develop memory, focus, and attention through both our long-term methodology and within each individual session. What we offer is quite different. Our continuous course format touches on a multitude of topics, following themes from a curated blend of subject matters to appeal to a wide range of interests. 

Third, we do not simply offer university classes, but a specific cognitive engagement program designed to optimize memory, enhance cognition, and increase resident satisfaction. Our sessions were created specifically to minimize cognitive load, increase attentional engagement, enhance memory, and promote executive processing functions. 

Fourth, our classes are designed with the needs and wants of our seniors— and our communities— in mind. Our “Learning for Leisure” approach means that the session are designed to be enjoyable and accessible. Residents can join at any time, there is no homework or prior knowledge requirements, and we don’t have final exams or grades. Missing a week, or a few, won’t set residents behind.

We offers two primary partnership structures: community-sponsored programs and resident-supported tuition models. Community-sponsored programs are funded by the community, while resident-supported tuition models are paid directly by participating residents. All partnerships deliver the same research-based curriculum and instructional quality.

Who pays the tuition depends on which partnership model you choose. That decision is completely up to you, and we provide the same research-based curriculum and instructional quality with whichever partnership model you choose. 

Furthermore, we provide all needed resources regardless of which model you choose. I.e., if you select the resident-paid tuition option, we manage resident enrollment and payment collections so that there is no extra work for your staff.
